چکیده

This paper presents an analytical study of TM-polarized surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) in nonlinear multi-layer structures containing graphene sheets. In the general structure, each sheet has been sandwiched between two different magnetic materials. To show richness proposed waveguide, novel have introduced and investigated as special cases structure. It will be shown that propagation features these can tuned by changing chemical potential incident mode power. A large value effective index, i.e. 240 for 0.2 ev power 3 is obtained second structure at frequency 40 THz. The results confirm integration materials with sheets control enhance propagating self-focused field layer. gives more degrees freedom to designer propose new THz components such lasers switches region.

Graphene-based active slow surface plasmon polaritons

Finding new ways to control and slow down the group velocity of light in media remains a major challenge in the field of optics. For the design of plasmonic slow light structures, graphene represents an attractive alternative to metals due to its strong field confinement, comparably low ohmic loss and versatile tunability. Here we propose a novel nanostructure consisting of a monolayer graphene...

Multi-layer topological transmissions of spoof surface plasmon polaritons

Spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) in microwave frequency provide a high field confinement in subwavelength scale and low-loss and flexible transmissions, which have been widely used in novel transmission waveguides and functional devices. To play more important roles in modern integrated circuits and systems, it is necessary and helpful for the SPP modes to propagate among different layer...

Quantum statistics of surface plasmon polaritons in metallic stripe waveguides.

Heralded single surface plasmon polaritons are excited using photons generated via spontaneous parametric down conversion. The mean excitation rates, intensity correlations, and Fock state populations are studied. The observed dependence of the second-order coherence in our experiment is consistent with a linear uncorrelated Markovian environment in the quantum regime. Our results provide impor...

The forces from coupled surface plasmon polaritons in planar waveguides.

We analytically investigate the forces due to Surface Plasmon Polariton (SPP) modes between finite and infinitely thick metal slabs separated by an air gap. Using the Drude model and experimentally determined values of the dielectric functions of gold and silver, we study how frequency dispersion and loss in the metals affects the behavior of the SPP modes and the forces generated by them. We c...
